OBEDIENCE TRAINING

Jeff Millman Features Boot Camp Graduate in Training Video

Bus, a six-month old English bulldog, was untrained and ill-mannered.  He entered Ruth Crisler's Camp Training Program, where he was housebroken and educated in formal obedience.

Chicago Paws trainer and behavior counselor Jeff Millman spotted Bus, fresh out of boot camp, and contracted with Bus's owner to film him for his own promotional video.  Bus is featured demonstrating the attentiveness he aquired in training and performing the formal heel command he learned at See Spot Run.

Bus was trained using a training collar in a relationship-based training program that relied on a fair and effective balance of praise, reward, and correction.  Jeff Millman, an advocate of "positive reinforcement only", doesn't believe in training collars, but even he can appreciate the results!

And so can Bus's owner, who provided this testimonial:

"I brought my English Bulldog to see Ruth.  He had no manners--a very  stubborn boy with a mind of his own.  I enrolled him in Ruth's board and train and she worked miracles!  In one month, he was a perfectly trained, obedient dog!  Ruth is a serious trainer who understands and loves dogs.  She trains by gaining respect not by building fear--a philosophy I was hard-pressed to find elsewhere."
